Ordering Process & Production

What is Multi Jet Fusion printing technology?

Ordering and producing your 3d parts from mjfparts.com is, really, a piece of cake. Basically, all you need is a file with your digital 3d model and you can order and receive your prototype in a matter of a few days. Let’s get into some more details in order to get a clear picture of the whole process from start to finish.

Upload & Order

The uploading and ordering process is really simple via our automated ordering system .

We use a state of the art price calculator for uploading your model, calculating the price based on your choices and creating your order.

All you have to do is follow the following 3 basic steps:

Step 1

Upload your model or models either by using the “+Upload” button or by dragging and dropping them on the designated spot.

Step 2

With the help of the “Files Manager”, in case you have multiple models, choose the material, color and quantity you wish for each model.

For each available option you can find more information and details at the bottom of the calculator.

Pay attention to the size and model units of the model you wish to order.

Once you are satisfied with your choices, add the item to cart and follow the same process for all your models. Your cart will be automatically updated every time you add a new item. Once you are done, press the cart button and press order.

Step 3

During this final step of the ordering process, all you have to do is input your shipping information and proceed with payment via our secure payment gateway (we use Stripe), or any other offered payment method.

Now all you have to do is wait for your order to arrive at your doorstep, we take care of the rest..!

Production

Once a print run is finished, there is still work to be done before packing and shipping your order.

Once an order is processed by our system it falls into the production queue. Orders receive a queue position based on the options material and production method of choice. For example, express orders are prioritized while economy orders are usually processed and produced once there is an open spot in a print run.

Pre-production

We make multiple print runs each day and before every print run, our specialists inspect the machines for potential problems.

The same goes for the models to be printed. Before adding a model into the print run, our specialists manually check them for potential errors or poor design which might lead to a bad print or even ruin the whole print run.

In case of minor problems, they are automatically fixed. However, in case of more serious problems our team will contact you in order to let you know that your model needs fixing or changes.

Once the print run is prepared, we initiate 3d printing!!

Post-production

Once a print run is finished, there is still work to be done before packing and shipping your order.

During post production, a big block of material is exported from the 3d printers and into a cleaning chamber. During this cleaning process, all items are hand picked from the aforementioned block and cleaned one by one with pressurized air and brushing.

Packing and Shipping

When your models leave production, our team will package them into a secure box and ship them to you via your chosen shipping method.

Once your order is shipped you will be notified by email and you will also receive the tracking information for your package. You can track your order either via the couriers website or via our package tracker .
